Products bearing one of the symbols (shown on the attached page) may be used without further inquiry. Any product (that requires supervision) bearing a symbol other than one listed below may not be used until approved by the Vaad. The attached list contains recommended Kosher symbols that are commonly found in our region for your convenience. The fact that a particular agency does not appear on this list does not imply that the Vaad Hakashrut of Kansas City has determined it to be substandard. Farm to Market produces a variety of bread products. Hen House Market Hen House Kosher Deli offers a variety of fresh and frozen Glatt Kosher Beef and Poultry as well as hot dogs packaged deli meats and much more. There are two grocery isles dedicated to only kosher products as well as a nice selection of frozen food and dairy products such as cheeses yogurt etc. Sliced kosher deli meats are available from 8:00 am-4:00 pm Sunday, 10:00 am-6:00 pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Overland Park Costco carries a variety of kosher fresh and frozen grocery items as well as cheese and a generally good supply of fresh kosher beef, chicken and turkey as well. 12221 Blue Valley Parkway Trader Joe's There are two Trader Joe's locations in the KC metro area: In Leawood at 119th and Roe and in KC MO on Ward parkway and 89th They both carry many kosher items, the Leawood location carries fresh kosher and sometimes organic Chicken and Turkey (as of now the kosher symbol on the beef they carry is not recomended) and the Ward Parkway location carries a few varieties of kosher wine both Mevushal and Non-Mevushal. Owned locally by Chaim and Katie White, the Co-op is a local service that distributes 6,000+ kosher products (meat, cheese, baked, canned, etc) - in sealed packaging with common hechsherim (OU, Star K, Circle K, CHK, etc) - to the Jewish community at prices substantially below retail to co-op members in the Kansas City area. Though the Co-op is an excellent resource for a variety of hechshered products, it is not under Vaad supervison.
